The Musical: Peter Pan

Peter Fan lovers are in for a treat this weekend, as a musical adaptation of the movie comes to Bournemouth.

Get ready to unwind in Neverland this weekend with Peter Pan, as a musical adaptation of the movie comes to Bournemouth.

Theatre Production company, Swish of the Curtain’s will be staging their musical adaptation of J. M. Barrie’s classic, Peter Pan at the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre. Peter Pan, the movie released in 2003, and is a story about exploring the journey of a little boy who never wants to grow up. The story takes the viewer on a magical adventure to an imaginary land.

The musical will be bringing in West End performers from popular shows like Les Miserables, Oliver and Mary Poppins. And the finale will be a musical score.

Richard Lee, who looks after marketting at the BIC said: “Swish of the Curtain is a very professional company so the musical will attract a large crowd over the four day period. And we’re expecting more sales once the show starts today. It’s a musical for all ages and kids as well as adults will enjoy watching it.”

Ticket prices begin at £10 and go up to £17.50. There are several concessions available as well. Trisha Rane, a student said: “Being a student, I got a £3 concession on my ticket. I’m a big fan of the movie so I’m really excited to see what the musical is like. It’s going to be a nice way to unwind at half-term.”

Other concessions include £3 off for under 16s and over 60s, £48 for a family, groups of 10 and more get £3 off two prices, groups off 21 and more get £4 off two prices and school groups get £8 each plus one in ten free.

The show starts today at 7: 30 pm and continues at the same timings till Saturday. There will be additional shows on Thursday and Saturday at 2:30 pm.
