Today is all about women. Andria Archontides explores the history of International Women’s day with a timeline of information throughout the years.

The celebration of International Women’s day has a long history dating back to the 1900’s. Women on all continents, often divided by national boundaries and by ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic and political differences, come together to celebrate their day and look back to a tradition that represents more than nine decades of struggle for peace, development, justice and equality.
