Police appeals for witnesses of road rage in Christchurch

The police are appealing for witnesses of road rage  in Christchurch that occurred on 31 January.

A woman was punched in face and kicked in the  leg when she was queuing in traffic in her black Ford Fiesta. Another woman waiting behind  got off her old style black VW Golf  and came to the victim’s car. A quarrel took place after the Fiesta driver stepped out of her car. The victim received a punch in the face and a kick in the leg from the Golf driver.

The target woman was described as caucasian and strong, in her late forties, and  has a pierced lip and tattoos on both arms.“I am appealing for any witnesses to the incident or the manner of driving of either vehicle or anyone who can identify the VW Golf driver to contact Dorset Police.”

Police Constable Matt Loader in Christchurch police said he had urged the Golf driver to turn herself in and talk to police, and appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident or could identify either the manner of driving or the VW Golf driver to contact Dorset Police.
