Mike Gunn and Sean Collins at Bournemouth Pavilion

“ I love your country simply because things don’t work here and you guys don’t seem to care,” said Sean Collins during comedy show at Bournemouth Pavilion on Sunday night.

“I love your country simply because things don’t work here and you guys don’t seem to care,” said Sean Collins during a comedy show at Bournemouth Pavilion on Sunday night.

He and Mike Gunn have performed for nearly 15 years all around the globe, travelling as far as Montreal, Melbourne, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia and The Falklands.

Collins began with a 15 minute introduction which comprised of all sorts of jokes. He had a good rapport with the audience asking couples about how long they have been together and what they would do for each other. Collins, originally Canadian, talked of his love for the UK.

He also joked about his 4 year old sons sleeping patterns, burglars and traveling by train.

After Collins had finished, Mike Gunn started with a series of cliches about the differences between men and women and how men do not like receiving cards. After the first half of the performance an elderly couple, who he joked about, got up and left.

After the interval, Collins appeared on stage again with another set of  fantastic jokes and was eventually rejoined by Gunn. They responded to each others stories quite sharply which made an interesting ending.
