Social media reactions to Abu Qatada verdict

Some reacted with jokes, most reacted with anger. Here is a brief presentation of the social media reaction to the recent Abu Qatada verdict, including tweets from Lord Alan Sugar and Home Secretary Theresa May in the House of Commons.

David Cameron said he’s “fed up”, Theresa May vowed to fight on, and the British public reacted with primarily anger; all at the verdict of Mr Justice Mitting, who upheld the appeal against controversial Muslim cleric Abu Qatada’s extradition.

In a legal battle that stretches back to 2002, Qatada has been in and out of prison during his fight against deportation to Jordan; where he is wanted to stand trial for alleged bomb plots.
