Award nominated landscape photographer to show next exhibition in Bournemouth

From the 30th of October 2018 to 13th of January 2019, Landscape Photographer of the Year nominee, Emily Endean, will be showing her latest exhibition, Sunrise to Sunset at the Russell-Cotes Art Gallery & Museum.

Sunrise to Sunset encompasses a series of beautifully shot landscapes across Dorset and Hampshire. Each photograph is an eye popping burst of colour and light.

Speaking about her latest exhibition, Endean had this to say, “I aim to be outside as much as possible, usually at sunrise chasing the light and the weather at its best around Dorset and Hampshire. My intention of the exhibition is to bring my best work together and display all in one place.”

As a master of capturing the splendour, light and colour of the natural world, you would think Endean’s work had been honoured over a lifetime or at least decades, but surprisingly not. While she dabbled in the artform from an early age, it was only when she was given her first DSLR camera in 2013, that Endean considered herself well and truly hooked. After which, the Bournemouth native didn’t waste any time in rapidly making a name for herself in the industry.

In recent years she has earned herself features in local and national press along with Dorset Life, the Daily Star and Amateur Photographer magazine. While in February 2018, Endean was awarded with membership to the prestigious Photographer’s Bar, a distinction she describes on her website as ‘Very difficult to achieve’ and one that makes her ‘feel very privileged’.

Expanding further on her nomination, Endean said, “It’s a book I’ve treasured and looked forward to adding to my collection each and every year. Now I am featured in there amongst many other photographers I really look up to!”

What’s next for the rising star? An exhibition of her work, ‘Stormy Seas at Porthcawl’ at Waterloo Station, London from 19th November 2018 to the 3rd of February 2019.
