The Bournemouth University Intramural football league started five weeks ago and so far the Reason, The Better Team, Physio Firsts and Zuvic Grasshoppers are the first teams to move on to the quarter of final.

With one stage left, teams are waiting eagerly to know who is going to the next round.

Charlton Clarke, of BU sport said: “Bournemouth University organizes the football league once each term, and in this league there are 40 teams divided into five groups, with each team comprises eight players.’’

Clarke said that only two teams move to the next stage and by the mid of December the league will be finished.

He said that there are five different leagues and games are played on either WednesdayFriday or Sunday.

The league has a website which “provides competition details including league’s tables, fixtures and results, result grid and players statistic,’’ said Clarke.

The reason team, the better team and Physio Firsts succeeded in winning all their first six matches which puts them into the second round, while Zuvic Grasshoppers have won five matches and are also far ahead of the chasing pack.
