Plans for a £14 million science, technology and discovery centre for the south of Dorset have been completed.
The pop-up store in Poole has been converted into a science lab for two weeks to raise awareness and to gauge the appeal for a science centre. The Explora project aims to make science more accessible to people and to enhance the offer of schools and to inspire children and adults to see science as a career opportunity and an aspiring hobby.

Caroline Galpin, founder member of Explora, said that schools and the public response have been amazingly positive. The project is now in a phase of searching for a site and collecting funds.
