Police appeal after girl hit by car in Portland

Dorset police are appealing for witnesses after a ten-year-old girl was hit by a car in Portland yesterday afternoon.

The incident happened on Grove Road at around 3:50pm, involving a Nissan car driven by a 37-year-old woman.

The girl was taken to Dorset County Hospital to be treated for her injuries.

Police Constable Stuart Smith said “Enquiries into this incident are ongoing at this time and I would ask any witnesses who have not already contacted Dorset Police to please get in touch.”
