Arrests after Dorset pedestrian seriously hurt

Police have arrested two people after a pedestrian was seriously injured when he was hit by a car in a West Dorset village.

Police have arrested two people after a pedestrian was seriously injured when he was hit by a car in a West Dorset village.

The 49-year-old man was struck by a passing vehicle in Litton Cheney at 10.55pm on Sunday 26 February.

He suffered severe head injuries and possible back injuries in the incident on Litton Lane near the White Horse pub.

Dorset Police said a nearby pedestrian witnessed the event.

A man and woman, both aged 34, have been arrested.

Police have seized a vehicle for forensic examination.
