Money box for Dorset Mind charity

Bournemouth University students cycle to Brussels for Dorset Mind charity

Volunteers from Nerve radio, Bournemouth University’s station, are cycling the equivalent of 352 miles in 28 hours to raise money for Mind mental health charity.

The students are taking it in turns to cycle on a static bike at the Student’s Union.

The idea is that they would hypothetically reach the European Union building by 29 March, when the UK was meant to be leaving the EU.

Challenging stigmas

Dorset Mind is a local charity which helps people suffering with poor mental health and wellbeing.

According to their website, they want to “challenge the stigma and inequality of mental ill health so that neither prevents people receive the information and support they need.”
