Dorset Police release advent calendar

From December 1 to Christmas Eve, Dorset Police will be releasing festive themed crime advice in a bid to keep local residents safe during the holidays. A different area of crime will be covered each day, but so far the calendar has covered theft and drink driving, along with renewed appeals for information on wanted criminals.

But some residents felt the calendar was too “shocking” for a Christmas calendar, while Dorset Police and Crime Commissioner Martyn Underhill reminded locals that the festive season does see a spike in certain crimes, and the calendar is about keeping the public aware of the dangers.
