Bournemouth residents will get the chance to celebrate the life of the singer George Michael in a charity tribute concert being held tomorrow night (Feb 2).

The George Michael charity extravaganza has been organised by local resident Darren Northeast and is aiming to raise money for the British Heart Foundation and ChildLine, two charities with very personal connections to the singer.

Local artists have been brought together for one night only for the concert at Canvas Bar in Bournemouth.

“I’ve brought together local performers who are singing in the local community and I’ve been lucky enough to go to some of the rehearsals and it is just fantastic what they’re producing,” said Mr Northeast, managing director of Darren Northeast PR.
