The mother of a teenager who died following an incident at Portchester School in Bournemouth has paid tribute to her son.
Kyle Rees, 16, died in hospital the day after being struck on the head by a ball.
Tanya Cooper expressed thanks to everyone for sending loving wishes and beautiful words about Kyle: “This would have meant the world to Kyle, as it does to us, to know how many others loved him.
“Words cannot be found to explain how much he loved us or how much love we have for him. Our lives will always be emptier without Kyle.
“His energy, laughter, jokes, dancing and his smiles, kisses and cuddles will be eternally missed by us all.”
She also sent her best wishes to all the children and parent on the paediatric ward at Southampton General Hospital. She added: “We are thinking of you all”.
“Our hearts go out to all family and friends that suffer such a tragic loss.
“Lastly, our thanks go to detective constables Andy Shah and Sarah Gedge for all of the support, strength and guidance they have, and are still giving us to help our family through this sad and tragic time.”
