For this edition we have taken a closer look at the issue of adoption and foster care. The Bournemouth council is currently working on expanding their adoption and foster care services and our reporter Cristina Odero talked to Councillor Nicola Green, deputy Leader of the Council and Cabinet member for Education and Children’s Service, who confirmed that there are currently 46 children in need of a home in Bournemouth. The Bournemouth foster care service was  awarded ‘the Adoption Service of the Year’ 2012 by the British Association of Adoption and Fostering, which shows that local initiatives work!

We have also covered the annual Holocaust memorial at The Lighthouse in Poole, where our reporter Joshua Longmore talked to Holocaust survivor Janine Lvov about her experiences.

Our wonderful reporters have been all over this week, in a good way of course, covering among other things a local business scheme running out of funding and how a Give and Take day turned a 100kg of useless things into something useful. We also have entertainment reviews and a match report from AFC Bournemouth’s 3-1 win over Crewe Alexandra.
