Two people were injured with one being airlifted to hospital after a two-vehicle collision in Dorchester over the weekend.

Two people were injured with one being airlifted to hospital after a two-vehicle collision in Dorchester over the weekend.

A Lexus collided with a green Volkswagen on the A37 at approximately 2.30pm on Sunday 19 February near to the junction with Cattistock, Dorchester.

The driver of the Lexus, a 47-year-old Yeovil man, suffered serious chest injuries. He was airlifted to Yeovil Hospital and is now in stable condition.

The driver of Volkswagen and a female passenger were taken to the Dorset County Hospital with minor chest injuries.

Police are urging witnesses to contact PC Sean Ford of the Weymouth Traffic Department on the non-emergency number 101.
