Police in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses following the death of a 76 -year-old woman in a road traffic collision at Southbourne Grove.

Police in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses following the death of a  76 -year-old woman in a road traffic collision at Southbourne Grove.

The incident happened in Southbourne Grove

Bridget Carmel Buckley, from Bournemouth, was taken to hospital suffering from chest injuries following the incident, which took place at approximately 11.55am on January 31st. She passed away on February 5th.

The vehicle involved was a single decker Yellow Bus that was travelling along Route 31 prior to the incident. No other vehicles were involved.

PC Sarah Jones, of Dorset Police’s Traffic Unit said: “I am keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the number 31 Yellow Bus travelling along Southbourne Grove at around the time of the collision.

“I would also appeal to those persons travelling on the bus who may have witnessed the incident to contact Dorset Police.”

Dorset Police are urging anyone with any information about the incident to call them on 101, quoting incident number 12:172, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
