‘We’re just a classic car meeting place, so the people can come down and show their pride and joy off’ – Ashley Miller, CCOTP
CCOTP secretary Ashley Miller said: “We can accommodate about 120 vehicles, it can be a motorcycle, any sort of old military vehicles, tractors, any vehicles that are roadworthy and can be driven there, from before the August of 1983.
“Everything is absolutely free, the are no fees of any kind, but we have a collective bucket, at the end when people are leaving, just for donations,” he said. “We use this money for our expenses and what is left we give it to charity. Last year we gave £750 to the Dorset and Somerset air ambulance and £250 to RNLI.”
Mr Miller added, “Everything is done on the voluntary basis, nobody is paid for it. It’s not a club, we’re just a classic car meeting place, so the people can come down and show their pride and joy off. Members of the public can come along for free and it also takes a lot of the elder people back on a nostalgic trip.”
