Dorset Community Organization uniting cultures

A Dorset Community Organization  says it has found a way to help people interact and share their cultures using food and recipes.

Unity in Vision is a volontary organisation for people of different faiths and cultures.

The charity was developed ten years ago after a chanced conversation between some friends in a car park.

Rita El Gazali who chairs the organisation says the cafe is all about fostering friendship across borders.

“The cafe has helped forged friendships, encourages exchange of ideas and teaches people about the richness and beauty of other cultures sharing a tremendous sense of community spirit.”

She says,  since the Brexit referendum, attitudes towards migrant communities in Dorset have changed.

Rita El Ghazali says, she believes  the International Unity Cafe  which is a collaboration with the Friendly Food club and the Training and Learning Company will  continue to bring people, from across the world, together.
