Hockey 3rds triumph in -3 degrees
On a day when even the Cherries match against Exeter City was called off thanks to some truly chilly weather, all credit should be given to Bournemouth Hockey Club 3rds and Poole Hockey Club 1sts for soldiering on.
And as one might expect of sport played in such conditions, proceedings today started off fairly slow.

Councillor: NHS merger “not a big deal”
A councillor on the health and social care committee said the Dorset hospital merge “is not a big deal” and patients will benefit.
